Chipboard

About Chipboard

Particle board, also known as chipboard or particleboard, is a type of engineered wood panel commonly used in construction. It is manufactured by processing wood or other cellulose-based materials (such as sugarcane bagasse or bamboo) into chips. These are then bonded together using adhesives such as urea-formaldehyde or phenol-formaldehyde resin and compressed under high temperature and pressure.

Application

Applications of particleboard:

– Furniture manufacturing, such as wardrobes, bookshelves, cabinets and other panel furniture.

Building decoration: used for partition walls and wall panel substrates.

– Packaging materials: used for pallets and packaging boxes.

– Floor base material: Some high-density particleboard can be used as a floor base layer.

– Soundproofing material: Used for soundproofing in venues such as concert halls and recording studios.

Advantage

Advantages of particleboard:
– Low cost and high cost-effectiveness.
– High bending strength and resistance to deformation.
– It can undergo various surface decoration treatments.
